PEDIATRIC PATIENTS
Both the general ENT and pediatric ENT doctors of OHIO ENT are actively involved in the treatment of children with tonsil and adenoid disorders, chronic ear infections, hearing and speech problems, and the many congenital masses affecting the pediatric population (thyroglossal duct cysts, branchial cleft cysts, dermoids). The group also has surgeons with specialized fellowship training in cochlear implants, and other complex pediatric disorders of the ear, nose and throat. Our physicians utilize the Ohio Surgery Center (an ENT specialty surgery center) and Columbus Children's Hospital for pediatric ENT surgery.
ADULT PATIENTS
Nose & Sinus Disorders: Our doctors are experts in the diagnosis and treatment of chronic nasal and sinus disorders. This includes problems related to nasal obstruction, sinus infections, nasal tumors, and cosmetic nasal surgery. The latest technology, including computer-guided (stereotactic) surgery is utilized.
Sleep Disorders: Patients with snoring and sleep apnea are commonly seen. All of the currently utilized surgical procedures for these problems (including laser surgery and radiofrequency) are utilized by physicians in the group.
Ear Disorders (Otology): The more common ear procedures such as tympanoplasty (repair of the ear drum) and mastoidectomy (surgery for chronic ear infections) are done by the general otolaryngologists and the otologists in the group. The otologists, however, perform the more complex ear surgeries, including revision ear surgery, removal of acoustic tumors, surgery for vertigo, and cochlear implantation (for deafness).
Head and Neck Surgery is a major focus of the general otolaryngologists and head and neck surgeons in OHIO ENT. This includes diagnosis and treatment of salivary gland and thyroid masses, congenital neck masses, and head and neck cancer. Advanced stage cancers are most often treated by those surgeons with head and neck fellowship training. These surgeons utilize the James Cancer Hospital & Solove Research Institute which provides the most current and comprehensive treatment of head and neck cancer..
Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery: Reconstructive and cosmetic facial surgery is performed by our doctors. This includes elective procedures such as facelift, eyelid surgery or rhinoplasty. Our physicians also perform reconstructive surgery for traumatic injuries or congenital problems such as cleft lip or cleft palate. Consultation for facial plastic surgery may be obtained by one of several surgeons in the group.
Balance Disorders: Our Balance Center is equipped with state-of-the-art equipment for evaluation and treatment of vertigo and other balance disorders.
Voice Disorders: Our Voice Disorders clinic is staffed by physicians and specialists with extensive training in the diagnosis and treatment of voice disorders. This includes voice disorders which may occur in children or adults and especially those who use their voice professionally.
