The difference between new digital devices and older analog technology is primarily clarity of sound. Think of it as you would the difference between older cassette tapes and digital MP3 players. With a digital circuit, there is virtually no distortion introduced – there is an exact replication of sound…crystal clear.
Open Fit BTE
These hearing aids are the most natural-feeling hearing aids and are fit on those with mild to moderate high-
frequency hearing losses.
BTE - Behind the Ear
These hearing aids fit behind the ear with an earmold fitting in the ear. These are appropriate for those with mild to
profound hearing losses.
ITE - In the Ear
These hearing aids fit within the concha of the ear and are appropriate for those with mild to severe hearing losses.
ITC - In the Canal
This type of hearing aid, slightly larger than the CIC, is also designed for those with mild to moderate hearing losses.
CIC - Completely in the Canal
This type of hearing aid fits entirely within the ear canal, barely seen by others. CIC hearing aids are fit for those with mild to moderate
hearing losses.
